Ashley moved to San Francisco in 2002 having never before stepped foot in California. Born and raised in Washington DC, she identified her passion for the outdoors, nature, and marine wildlife while spending summers on the Chesapeake Bay and in Charleston, SC. In this setting, Ashley discovered an interest that would stick with her for life.
During 4 years of her adolescence spent in Paris, Ashley nurtured a deep interest in foreign culture and art. Opting to concentrate her studies in this vein, she pursued a degree in Fine Arts at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Ashley again followed her passion overseas, enrolling in an intensive art program in Aix-en-Provence, France during her junior year.
Ashley brought this love and fascination with the European Impressionistic style to her own canvas. She began to expand on her studies of nature and aquatic life, and became increasingly influenced by their representations in Asian art. After spending time in Asia, AshleyÕs design style truly began to take shape.
Regardless of the medium, Ashley has always expressed her passions and interests through her art work.
